The posthumous work of ambient music pioneer Harold Budd is now available as an RSD item! Harold Budd, a pioneer of ambient music and legendary composer known for his collaborations with Brian Eno and Robin Guthrie of the Cocteau Twins, has released his last work in RSD. This RSD work is composed mainly from the soundtrack of the Emmy Award-winning HBO-produced TV drama starring Mark Ruffalo. His sound, which cannot be described as ambient, has been described by The Guardian as relaxing and dreamlike, and as "contemporary music that uses sound to bring about pure healing.The film, which became his last work after he sadly passed away in December 2020, includes the soundtrack to the drama as well as music from four other films: "The Serpent (In Quicksilver)" (1981), "The White Arcades" (1988), "By The Dawn's Early Light" (1991), and "Luxa" (1996), and includes a commentary by Derek Cianfrance, who wrote and directed the film.
