Luka Faulisi
Description:
Luca Faurici, a violinist who has been praised as "a million-dollar violinist" (Pinkas Zuckerman) and "a virtuoso with great technique and powerful musical expression" (Emmanuel Pajou), makes his debut with Sony Classical. Luca Faurissi makes his authentic debut on the Sony Classical label. Faurissi, whose father is the founder of the flute maker Forisi, began playing the violin at the age of three and studied under the master violinist Boris Belkin. His beautiful sound and technique are so fresh that it is no wonder that he made his debut on a major label. His debut album is a gorgeous collection of operatic arias arranged by violin virtuosos such as Auer, Kohanski, and Zimbalist. Faurisi's own arrangement of "La Traviata" is also included. The fact that Faurisi was able to perform with the virtuoso Itamar Golan, who was the accompanist for the Vengerov CDs his mother listened to when he was a baby, is a celebration of his musical ties to the world of music.
