Acrylic on wood, 9” x 12”
This painting is inspired by the beautiful redwood bioregion that I am lucky enough to live in. Lagunitas Creek is in Marin County and has the largest population of Coho Salmon between Monterey and Mendocino, although salmon are still endangered in this watershed.
River otters have made a comeback to the creek in recent years. Both species, as well as steelhead trout, are dependent on clean water and a healthy native forest.
Turtle Island Restoration Network is restoring habitat in Lagunitas Creek to ensure a healthy ecosystem for years to come.
