This new work by German electronic music pioneer Rhodelius is a piano work with Grammy-nominated composer Tim Story. The material was then given to Tim to record on tape. Tim then adds parts on the same grand piano. To the listener, it sounds like a piano solo played by one person, but it is a sound that blends the personalities of the two musicians into one. The harmonies on this album are the result of the "four hands," Rhodelius's intuitive improvisations and Tim's time-consuming ideas and arrangements, which create a harmony of rippling minimal patterns and delicate interplay. This is not just a new album, but a logical continuation of a long-standing friendship between the two composers, a tribute to consciousness and to the ear that draws a new sonic language from the infinite possibilities of a single piano played by four hands.
