Astronomik UHC 50mm Filter – Enhanced Deep Sky Observing

Our 50mm filters are compatible with all 50mm filter wheels from popular brands like ZWO, QHY, QSI, Starlight Xpress, SBIG, Moravian, and Atik. The protective ring design and blackened filter edges prevent stray light, keeping the filters safe and easy to handle.

The filter's orientation in the filter wheel does not affect optical performance.

The Astronomik UHC is the ideal filter for visual observing.

With the Astronomik UHC (Ultra High Contrast) filter, you will observe more stars and more details in deep-sky objects compared to other filters. This filter allows nearly 100% transmission of radiation from O-III and H-beta lines. It also blocks scattered light from artificial light pollution sources, allowing gas and planetary nebulae to appear in greater detail.

Main Use

The high transmission of the Astronomik UHC filter improves views of deep-sky objects, even with small telescopes. The optical glass provides sharp, distortion-free images, and the filter is optimized for telescopes with focal lengths from f/4 to f/15. Even at faster f-ratios, it offers minimal transmission loss and chromatic distortion. You’ll see needle-sharp stars, just as you would with no filter in place!

• Visual observation (dark skies): Excellent for telescopes of all apertures
