Glad
Description:
The only CD release in paper jacket by Glad, a four-piece band known for its member Timothy B. Schmidt of the Poco~Eagles! (Original release: 1968/ABC Records) The New Breed, a California garage rock band from the mid-1960s, also known as "The Beatles of Sacramento", changed their name to Glad in 1968. This is the only album by this quartet, which is known for having Timothy B. Schmidt (vo, b) of Poco - Eagles in its lineup. The catchy harmony pop sound of Eric Vanberg's (Carole King, Skylark, etc.) Association-inspired production is well worth listening to. At the time of release, Schmidt had already left to join Poco. The remaining three members started over as Red Wing and recorded five country-rock albums in the early 1970s.
