The 8C-PDISA1 is a high-density, 32-channel Sequence of Events (SOE) digital input module designed for the Honeywell Experion PKS Series 8 and C300 controller platform. Unlike standard digital input cards that are bound by the controller's scan cycle, the 8C-PDISA1 timestamps state changes at the hardware level with 1 ms resolution. This capability is critical for post-trip analysis, allowing engineers to determine the exact "first-out" alarm and distinguish it from subsequent ripple-effect events in complex industrial processes.
