Installed after the drywall is in place, the DHU saves time while ensuring fire-resistance compliance without compromising structural integrity.

This hanger is available in multiple widths and can be ordered with one concealed flange or skewed up to 45°, giving contractors the flexibility to meet project-specific layout needs. Installation:

• Hanger must be installed after drywall is applied to the wall assembly.
• Fasten using Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws as specified per application.
• Top of hanger should be flush with the top of the wood wall and tight to the drywall face.
• Ensure wall top plates are restrained to resist rotation. For gravity loads under 150 plf, use a stud-plate tie connector or equivalent restraint.
• Position top plate splices over studs for maximum structural performance.
