Description:
Paul Weller is one of the leading musicians in the current British rock scene. In the 1980s, he formed The Style Council, a band that skillfully incorporated the essence of R&B and gained new fans, and after the breakup of the group, he energetically pursued his career as a solo artist, remaining at the forefront of the British music scene. Paul Weller's final album "The Gift", released in March 1982, reached No.1 in the UK Albums Chart and No.82 in the US Albums Chart. Following the release of the album, the band embarks on its first world tour, playing 86 shows, including Japan. The March 21 concert in Birmingham, England, which was a prelude to the tour, was recorded and broadcast for a BBC program. This album is a live album based on the sound sources used for the broadcast, and contains the complete performance of the two concerts, including cover songs and two encores.Starting out as a unique punk rock band, The Jam evolved with each album release, and despite reaching No. 1 in the UK charts, this live album captures them as a live band.
