Description:

Freewheelin' Recording Sessions! In his debut album released in March 1962, Bob Dylan, who had been working in New York for only 10 months and was only 20 years old, already sounded like a bluesman who had been matured for decades. It was only the beginning of the "eternally wandering soul" Dylan. The second album, Freewheelin', took about a year to make after the sales failure of his debut album. Since his debut album, which contained only two of Dylan's own compositions, the 20-year-old Dylan has grown rapidly. His sharp protest songs and trad covers showed progress in expressiveness, and he also wrote original songs single-mindedly, continuing to produce world-changing songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "Burning Rain Fallin'". Producer John Hammond then worked on "Freewheelin'" seven more times in April, June, October, and November of 1962, while determining the right time to release the album, and finally completed the historic album in the spring of 1963. This one year was the period of time that the folk gods, or rather the music gods, gave Dylan. This is a collection of session recordings tracing the making of this miraculous album, including "Northern Girl" and "War Lords," which were recorded during the eighth and final recording session in April 1963, and were only included on the "Free Wheeling" test pressing for radio stations because it was hastily decided to include them on the album. Rocks And Gravel" and "Talking John Birch Paranoid Blues," which were only included on the "Free Wheeling" test pressings for radio stations, were made extremely rare, but this album includes all of them. The latter, in particular, is the first time that the studio version, which could only be heard on the test pressing, has been released on CD after a lapse of 58 years. And at this time, he had already recorded Elvis' "That's All Right Mama" and "Mixed-Up Confusion" with a rock band in the background. The complete version of "Let Me Die In My Footsteps" has not even been cut to number 5. The version of "Corrina, Corrina" is noteworthy not only with a backing band but also with Dylan's playing in an irregular guitar tuning. This is a miraculous collection of studio sessions that follows a year in the life of a 20-year-old young man who came to New York from the countryside of Hibbing with a guitar in his hand and transformed himself into "Bob Dylan. The 8-page booklet with 7,700 Japanese characters of commentary on the situation at the time, episodes, and detailed explanations of all the songs is from Eternal Grooves' "ROCK OFF" series!
