The latest form of art-punk from South London. Dry Cleaning, a new band reminiscent of everyone from Divo to Sonic Youth, has finally made its debut! The band is a four-piece newcomer band that has produced a string of chart-topping acts from Windmill, a music pub with a capacity of just over 100 people, and is unique in the South London scene, which is a veritable sea of bands, with an artistic appearance that is clad in the aroma of 80s and 90s US new wave and alternative music. Dry Cleaning has released their long-awaited debut album on the prestigious 4AD label! Despite having released only two EPs, Dry Cleaning has already garnered a great deal of attention, including being named one of Stereogum magazine's "Best New Bands Of 2019" along with Black Midi and Fontaine's D.C., and receiving a compliment from Iggy Pop, and now they are back with a brand new album, "Dry Cleaning", featuring PJ The album was recorded in Wales in the summer of 2020 with John Parish, a master producer known for his work with Harvey and Aldous Harding, among others.The album features 10 tracks, including "Scrachcard Lanyard," a thrilling track with an impressive bass line and gradually heating guitar sound, and "Strong Feelings," an addictive piece of minimalist psychedelia with a dubby rhythm box. Strong Feelings," and 10 other tracks that are simple yet exude a wide range of musical backgrounds, including 80s new wave, post-punk, 60s psychedelic, funk, metal, and dub. With the winds of South London at their backs, the band has created a fearless masterpiece that will shoot out from the UK into the heartland of Sonic Youth.
