Japanese saws cut on the pull stroke - which for me makes them perfect for pruning as you are often working above shoulder height.

This is a folding saw, which makes it easier to carry.  The rubber handle makes it comfortable to hold, but if you'd prefer a wooden handle then have a look here.

The blade is 21cm long and the rule of thumb is that they will cut up to a 1/3 of there length -so 7cm.  You can cut larger branches but you will have to do significantly increase the number of strokes used.

Made in Japan from impact hardened SK-4 steel.  Weighs 220grams - 210mm blade length and 440mm overall length when unfolded.
