This 1930s Art Deco crystal cologne bottle was designed in the Bohemian glassmaking region by Karl Palda, one of the most innovative Czech designers of the period. Made in Haida (now Nový Bor, Czech Republic), this piece features bold black enamel accents and geometric acid-etched patterns, signature hallmarks of Palda’s celebrated work from 1933 to 1938.

Measuring approximately 6½ inches tall and 3 inches wide, the bottle has a strong visual presence despite a flaw: a deep chip on the lip, visible when viewed from a specific angle. The chip is jagged and sharp and should not be touched or handled directly, especially with bare fingers. However, when displayed with the damaged side turned away, the piece presents beautifully.
