Zandra Rhodes is one of my favorite designers and it is always a treat to have one of her pieces for you! Some of her longer gowns are so over the top they are hard to fit into real life but this is a very wearable, gorgeous piece that can go for a fancier day piece to cocktail wear with ease. Hand painted silk chiffon over a silk interior has a asymmetrical hem and waist detailing. The bodice has sequin work that was hand applied and the edges are all done with pretty faux pearls. I love the shoulders and how they have a built out a touch. The sleeves are left unlined so the print really gets shown off. It is lovely and highly collectible. Excellent condition

The dress is fully lined in blue tissue silk and it closes with a back painted metal zipper. The bead and sequin work detailing is all hand applied A wire is attached to both the inner lining and the skirt's hem to create and hold that wonderful ruffle shape of the hem. The sleeves are left unlined. It should be dry cleaned when cleaned again in the future.
