Stripey Suzie mod dress. This is a rare find dress sourced in California and made by R&K knits and by clothing industry workers in 1960's that formed part of the ILGWU (International Ladies Garment Workers Union) that was formed in 1900. Throughout its 95 years history it made huge strides in workers working conditions and demanded the highest justice and rights for those that were part of the clothing industry at the time. This dress is classic 1960's and has the most vibrant pop of colour stripes in red and blue on a white base fabric. Really nice design detailing and fit on the body. Has centre front placket 3/4 button fastening, elasticated waist, nehro collar. Self fabric tie belt. Original makers label: R& K knits and the ILGWU ladies workers union label in the side seam. Nice piece of fashion history. Fabric : synthetic , knitted so some stretch. Excellent quality.
