Dosage

• For extemporaneous use only
• Common dosage range: 250 mg - 5 g daily; can be taken with or without food
• It is advisable to begin supplementation at the low end of the dose range, increasing if required

Warnings

• Ascorbic Acid has not been extensively tested for its effects during pregnancy
• Avoid during pregnancy or lactation, unless confident that its impact can be reasonably deemed to be safe or beneficial
• Haemochromatosis patients should not exceed a daily intake of 200mg of vitamin C.
• Excessive supplementation may result in diarrhea and gastrointestinal distress (reduce doses accordingly)
• Practitioners should conduct ongoing research and take care to follow their practitioner association guidelines for appropriate administration of compounding ingredients
• Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet
