Of all the things found in the last two weeks, this one feels to me the dearest at the moment. 19th century, likely done by a school girl, probably in Pennsylvania, watercolor on lined paper. A flower that also looks like a figure wearing a skirt, with ochre leaves looking both like pears and like boxing gloves, and a pointed end, roots, like a carrot, or a blade, or a ballerina on point. Looks a bit like an ice cream cone too. Layers of life and blooming.

Wonderfully framed, as found, under glass in black and gold painted antique frame: 7 3/8" x 5 7/16". Not including hanging loop at top.
