A charmer of an antique charm, and a functional one too--a boot shaped boot lacer, with "hook" that folds out to be used to pull one's laces tight. Made of brass I believe, with a bright gold toned surface on one side and silver on the other, with decorative embossed patten on the brass of the hook. I've never seen another like this, a wonderfully folky thing, perfect for stringing on a chain now and wearing as a lucky, and handy, pendant!   

 1 3/4" x 1 7/16" closed, not including loop. Perfectly worn and aged, later 19th c. I would guess.
