Filson "Journeyman" backpack, constructed of tightly woven waxed canvas, provides waterproofing through a rich kerosene impregnation. The 2-by-3 industrial twill, supplied by British Millerain, is chosen for its abrasion resistance. Padded and shaped waxed canvas shoulder straps, lined internally with cotton moleskin, ensure grip and breathability, while the hooks are vegetable-tanned bridle leather.
