RACE modular spindle for BMW E30 / E30 M3 / E36 / E36 M3 / Z3 / Z3M / E46 / E46 M3 / Z4 / Z4M models (excluding E30 iX / E46 xi/xd models)

Our latest and greatest RACE modular spindle is finally here!

Geometry is based on E30 Gr.A DTM and E36 STW era parts which were optimized for pure racing applications on low ride height cars:

• ~30mm base roll-center correction, adjustable via spacers in 10mm steps up to 60mm (see comparison here)

• ~30mm base bump steer correction, adjustable via spacers in 10mm steps up to 60mm

• 15% quicker steering ratio to approximately match BMW Motorsport steering rack ratios

• Designed for higher caster range

  • E30 Gr.A DTM style steering arm 9-11 degrees
  • E36 STW style steering arm 7-9 degrees (works for both E36 and E46 models)

• Reduced caster trail

• Reduced KPI

  • Adjustable ±1° via shims

• Reduced Ackermann angle for high speed maneuvering

• E36 / E46 requires minimum 7 degrees of caster

  • Compatible with M3 spec top mounts (and control arms)
  • For more adjustability please check our caster adjustable top mounts

• Slight increase in track width due to KPI change (wheel backspacing requirement)

• Must be used with tie rods with M14 size rod ends or E30 Gr.A DTM tie rod assembly

• Please refer to wheel fitment chart (for diameter and backspacing) and check compatibility with your combination

• Please check maximum recommended brake rotor depth (based on E36/E46 rotor backspacing)

• Steering rack stops recommended

  • The kit includes base spindles with chosen steering arm, strut mounting and brake caliper adapter option only
  • Matching control arms and/or control arm outer joints are sold separately

Does it fit my car?

The kit can be fitted on most E30/E36/E46 models, not compatible with iX/xi/xd models. See available variations:

The kit requires specific combination of standard BMW parts to be used, but it's basically a bolt-on replacement and does not require excessive modifications on your car.

The kits have been proven on street and track applications by hundreds of our customers. We're constantly doing R&D to make the kits even better, all improvements are based on customer feedback which is very important to us.
Any of the spare parts can be bought separately from us.

All parts are CNC machined: aluminum parts are aerospace grade AW-7075 with hard anodized finish (silver and black), mounting studs are made of highest quality CrMo tool steel and all hardware meets European quality standards.
