The Inkbird PID controller is a convenient, plug-and-play option to control the electric element on your boil kettle, mash tun, or hot liquor tank. With a dedicated outlet and power button for your brew pump, you can easily kick your pump on and off to recirculate your mash, transfer wort from vessel to vessel, and whirlpool after the boil.

Precise Control:
PID controllers are the most efficient way to control your heating element. Rather than simply cycling the element on and off, the PID uses a feedback loop to constantly provide the necessary power to maintain your set point. This means the power output of the element is adjusted from 0-100% as needed, instead of providing full power when heating is needed and no power when the set temp is achieved.

Control the Power:
The Inkbird PID controller allows you to take full control with Manual mode. By entering Manual mode, you can ramp up or ramp down the power of your element between 0-100% as you see fit. Lowering the power percentage during mashing can help you avoid scorching. The manual mode is ideal for electric distillation power control.

Independent Element Control:
When in normal operation, the controller will power your heating element as needed to maintain your set temperature. But with the independent on/off switch, you can cut the power to the element at any time. This is a great feature that allows you to control the pump and still take temperature readings when you're done using the heating element. After the boil, you can cut the element off while still using the pump to whirlpool and monitor the wort temp during chilling.

Independent Pump Control:
Control your pump with the press of a button. Whether you're recirculating the mash, transferring, or whirlpooling, having the pump control side-by-side with your element control allows you to take command of your brew day. Since the element and pump are controlled independently, you can use the Inkbird to control your pump even when the element is not in use.

Audible Alarm:
Set an alarm to notify you when you've reached your strike temperature. Attend to other tasks and prep work while your water is heating. The Inkbird controller will let you know when you're up to temp!
