The inaugural issue of Asia, launched by Ko Uoeka and designed by his wife Menghan Li, is a beautifully bound photography publication that captures the vast and diverse backdrop of the Asian continent through intimate visual stories.

The late Martin Parr is the opening feature, presenting his vivid, tongue-in-cheek imagery alongside his earlier, black-and-white photographs across India, juxtaposing dynamism with stillness. Nigel Shafran captures specific moments in Hong Kong and Schenzen, rediscovering the often-overlooked cityscapes. Xiaopeng Yuan's lens in Shanghai is starkly surreal and complements the tenderness that weaves through this issue. An interval of text by Riddhi Dastidar narrates Sarker Protick's decade long photography of the Bengal region, mirroring the reflections on geological change and Protick's grief after losing his mother. 

Asia offers readers a moment to lose themselves in the showcased images, quietly sitting with environments from a different time and place.
