A pair of heavy brass or bronze stirrups with a dark aged patina.
They are cradle shaped with suspension slots at the top
One side of each stirrup bears a small rowelled spur.
There are no marks or stamps visible.
In his 1911 book "The History of the Spur" Charles de Lacy records such stirrups being used in Southern Greece and the Balkans.
