The Flomatic 4171E 1" 333E Enviro foot valve is a stainless-steel spring-loaded foot valve designed to help maintain pump prime, prevent backflow, and protect suction lines from debris. This model features a Nitrile (Buna-N) seal, a high-strength acetal poppet, a stainless-steel spring, and a corrosion-resistant tapered stainless-steel strainer. The 4171E is rated for a maximum working pressure of 250 psi and a maximum temperature of 180°F (80°C).

Operation: Flomatic foot valves are designed to give years of trouble-free operation without maintenance when properly installed and in a properly selected pumping application with regards to flow and maximum system pressures. The internal spring-loaded poppet closes quickly to reduce reverse flow and loss of prime, while the integral tapered strainer helps keep larger debris out of the suction line.

Construction: The Flomatic 333E foot valve body has been constructed to handle the rated system flow and pressures as stated and to assure that the pump does not lose its prime between stops and starts. In addition, the valve is uniquely designed to absorb some of the hydraulic shocks associated with water system cycling when proper installation procedures are followed.

The tapered stainless-steel strainer protects the internal poppet and sealing components from debris. It provides a large flow area to minimize pressure loss and is removable for cleaning or replacement.
