Conocarpus lancifolius, commonly known as the Damas Tree, is a fast-growing, evergreen tree widely used for urban landscaping, avenue planting, and windbreaks. Native to East Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, this hardy tree is highly tolerant to heat, drought, salinity, and pollution, making it ideal for tropical and arid climates.

The Damas Tree grows up to 20–25 meters tall, with a dense canopy and attractive dark green leaves. Its strong root system helps prevent soil erosion and provides excellent shade. This species is also used as a hedge plant, ornamental tree, and for reforestation in dry areas.
