This bright turquoise stone is set in an elegant shaped mounting made from 10 karat yellow gold. The claw prongs and flowing split shank, are very characteristic of the Art Nouveau style popular during the Victorian and Edwardian eras, but was likely made later in the 1920's. The turquoise stone measures 8.3 mm by 11.8 mm. The rise off the finger measures 6.8 mm. The old cut diamond measures 2 mm. Its age ranges from 1890's- 1920's. The stone is secure in the setting and there average wear to the gold band. There is no hallmark or gold stamp but the gold acid tests as 10 karat. The total weight of the ring is 4.3 grams.
