Wooden statue of Saint Anthony with Baby Jesus carved and painted in South Tyrol. Not everybody knows that the Patron Saint of oppressed people, shipwrecks, orphans, of single women looking for Husband and of Lost Things is as well invoked to protect Newborns, Infant and babies. Christian Iconography depicts Anthony holding Baby Jesus, this tradition can be traced back to the Vision that the Saint had in Camposampiero. Anthony travelled tirelessly in both Northen and Southern of Italy, choosing  to preach in cities in which Heretics were strongest. Before his death, tired and desiring Peace and Quiet, he decided to rest and to recover Spiritually and Physically in Camposampiero. It is in this small village near Padua that Anthony received the Miracles, he had the opportunity to hold Baby Jesus in his arms.
