Atsushi Imada is a pianist who realizes richly rewarding music through his sincere attitude and empathy toward his works. He has won prizes at the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition, the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, and the Japan Music Competition, and his talent shines brightly among young pianists. For the opening of his full-fledged performance in Japan, he has chosen two of Schumann's major works, the Sonata in classical form and the Exercises, a collection of small pieces over a series of notes. This concert will be an opportunity to enjoy the diverse worlds of Schumann's representative works for the piano. (C)RS
