Battlax S22 allow riders to experience the full potential of their bike’s performance on the road, and they’re more than capable of handling the occasional track day as well.

Bridgestone engineers have introduced a brand-new tread pattern design for several key reasons. Firstly, they increased the land/sea ratio in the shoulder area to provide more edge grip and reduce slippage at the end of the contact patch. Secondly, the angle and alignment of the tread grooves have been revised to redistribute working forces across the tyre. This results in lighter handling, improved feedback, and optimal water drainage in wet conditions.

The rear tyre continues to use Bridgestone’s unique 5-Layer Compound (5LC) structure, with the softest compound positioned at the very edge for maximum cornering grip. The 5LC layout delivers more progressive handling while maintaining a harder centre band for durability.

Bridgestone chemists have developed a new compound mix using fine silica molecules throughout the central area, increasing the amount of silica in contact with the road by 25% compared with the S21. Increased silica content significantly enhances grip in both cold and wet conditions.
