Era: 2500 BCE to 1800 BCE
Originating from the Indus Valley Civilization, these carnelian beads feature patterns created using a natron solution derived from plants, which were then baked at a low temperature of approximately 300 to 400 degrees Celsius. Although they are also unearthed in Mesopotamian and Afghan archaeological sites, it is believed that they were made in the Indus River region and transported via land and sea routes.
