Will this tank work with my existing coolant hoses?

Yes. The tank connects to the factory hose routing and radiator inlet points on 90–97 Miatas. Inspect your existing hoses for cracks or splits before installation—this is a good time to replace them if needed.

Do I need to drain my coolant before swapping tanks?

Yes. Drain the cooling system first, disconnect the radiator inlet and overflow hoses from the old tank, unbolt the factory tank, then install the aluminum unit in reverse. Have a catch pan ready and dispose of coolant properly.

Can I use this with my current thermostat and water pump?

This tank integrates with the stock cooling system—thermostat, water pump, and radiator remain unchanged. The aluminum tank simply replaces the plastic reservoir, so no other components need modification.
