Description:
The "Requiem for Four Voices" by Orlando di Lasso (1532-1594), discovered by musicologist Dr. Tobias Rimek in a manuscript kept at the former Benedictine monastery in Augsburg. This is the earliest version of the work and is undoubtedly the original, containing the "Day of Wrath," which is missing from all later editions. This Augsburg original version also features pitches five degrees lower than later printed versions, and the four voices (tenor, baritone, bass, and basso profundo) provide a full and distinctive bass sound.
