Solaris and Seyval Blanc are two white grapes with a love affair for the Welsh climate and here in Montgomeryshire, the fruit ripens patiently at altitude on the rolling hills to produce expressive, unique wines.

We already adore Woody and the team's Solaris single varietal still wine - and we "heart' his Seybval Blanc fizz - and so when he told us he was making a canny blend of the two our hearts skipped a beat.

This wine has elegant tropical tangs, some lovely hints of vanilla and fabulous structure on the palate. 

The team at Montgomery Vineyard began their journey in 2012 to create the first-class signature Welsh wines and their vineyard is based in a unique part of Wales, the garden of Montgomeryshire.

A deep passion for the wine-making process, geology and understanding of time means they release the wines when they are ready.
