Tenuta Coeli Aula was first established in 1899 and is located in the rolling hills of Montespertoli, near Florence, a place full of history and renowned for Chianti. It is currently run by the fourth generation of the Barni family who have taken great pains to pay respect to native grape varieties but also to promote eco-sustainable development within the area.  Its vineyard land, olive and grain plantations were awarded certified organic status in 2018, making this just the type of feel good winery we wanted for our exclusive Italian range. 

As far as Chianti's go, this wine checks all our boxes. It is rich and moreish with well structured tannins, and a beautiful long finish with strawberry and overripe cherry lingering on the palate.

It’s DOCG too (higher quality classification than DOC) meaning this is the ultimate treat with a classic spag bowl but can equally stand up to a swanky Italian stew, succulent steak or roasted veggie ragu. Bellissima!
